Soccer Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe lost against Bainbridge back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Monroe Golden Tornadoes came up short against the Bainbridge Bearcats, falling 11-1. The Golden Tornadoes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 9-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Kammerrone Sawyer, which was the first he's scored this season.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bainbridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

The future could be bright for both Monroe and Bainbridge: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Monroe will try to hand Dougherty their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bainbridge will look to extend Westover's four-game losing streak when they meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
