Baseball Game Preview: Reading Blue Devils vs. Colerain Cardinals

The Reading Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Colerain Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Reading and eight for Colerain.

Reading fell victim to Taylor and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Colerain lost 8-2 to Oak Hills on Friday.

Colerain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Carter has snagged this season.

Reading's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Colerain, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-21.

Reading beat Colerain 10-7 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
