Soccer Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lovington Wildcats, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Chaparral were already down 4-1.

With the defeat, Chaparral broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Lovington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Chaparral will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Valencia at 1:00 p.m. on October 4. As for Lovington, they will face off against Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
