Basketball Recap: Montclair Comes Up Short

Montclair lost against Diamond Ranch two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Montclair Cavaliers came up short against the Diamond Ranch Panthers, falling 52-28. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1006th, while the Panthers are ranked 275th).

Jordyn Seales was nothing short of spectacular for Diamond Ranch: she went 10 for 15 on her way to 22 points along with eight steals and five boards. Seales has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Jordyn Brooks was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Montclair has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Diamond Ranch, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Montclair nor Diamond Ranch have any future games scheduled.
