Soccer Recap: Chatsworth Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chatsworth can now relate to. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Eagle Rock Eagles who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The Eagle Rock Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Chatsworth Chancellors' one. While losing is never fun, the Chancellors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Eagles are ranked 92nd).

The loss snapped Chatsworth's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Eagle Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
