Baseball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Comes Up Short

Southeast Whitfield County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Cass Colonels. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Colonels from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Southeast Whitfield County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Southeast Whitfield County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cass, they moved to 8-10 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

While Southeast Whitfield County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
