Football Game Recap: Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers vs. Rockford Rockets

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Family Catholic, Glencoe-Silver Lake was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Rockford Rockets get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

Glencoe-Silver Lake's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Rockford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Glencoe-Silver Lake will face off against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hubmen / Jaguars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Rockford, they will square off against Annandale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' defense has only allowed 4.4 points per game this season, so the Rockets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
