Soccer Game Preview: Ontario vs. Don Lugo

The Ontario Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Don Lugo Conquistadores at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ontario's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Ontario is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Chino on Wednesday. Ontario fell just short of Chino by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Don Lugo had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 5-1 victory. Given the Conquistadores' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Tigers are ranked 780th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 2-12-3. As for Don Lugo, their win bumped their record up to 9-3-2.
