Softball Recap: Cushing Comes Up Short

Cushing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-5 to the Jones Longhorns, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Cushing's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Jones, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Cushing didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Bridge Creek on the 5th. As for Jones, they have also already played their next match, an 8-1 defeat against North Rock Creek on the 6th.
