Soccer Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clovis can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Knights on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Knights are ranked 91st).

Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for St. Joseph, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Clovis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Justin Garza at 6:00 p.m. Justin Garza will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Joseph surely won't give up without a fight.
