Softball Recap: Pine Creek Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Erie

Pine Creek faced Erie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles fell 11-7 to the Tigers. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Brayden Dailey made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahlanna Rymski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pine Creek fell to 7-1. As for Erie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Creek will take on Vista Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.13 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Erie, they will be playing at home against Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
