Basketball Game Preview: Napa Grizzlies vs. Justin-Siena Braves

Napa is 1-9 against Justin-Siena since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Napa Grizzlies will take on the Justin-Siena Braves at 7:00 p.m.

Napa is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Sonoma Valley, falling 60-17. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1082nd, while the Dragons are ranked 390th).

Meanwhile, Justin-Siena came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 60-43.

Justin-Siena pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Napa, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Napa was dealt a bruising 57-9 loss at the hands of Justin-Siena in their previous matchup on January 4th. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Napa was down 49-4.
