Baseball Recap: Adrian Comes Up Short

Adrian suffered their closest loss since May 5, 2025 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Pioneer Pioneers by a score of 3-1. The Maples were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Adrian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasey Eichorn, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Adrian and nudges their season record down to 13-12-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Pioneer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-17-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pioneer beat Adrian by a score of 6-4 later that day.
