Recap: Windber Ramblers vs. Everett Warriors

The Windber Ramblers and the Everett Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Windber Ramblers had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to the Warriors. Windber was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Everett apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Windber lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaylie Gaye, who scored 17 points. Mariah Andrews was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

It was another big night for Cloe Price, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Everett. Price is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Bowser, who scored ten points.

Windber's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Everett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Windber does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Everett, they will face off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Everett is coming into the matchup with five straight wins on the road, so Rochester will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
