Softball Recap: McAlester Comes Up Short

McAlester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the Coweta Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2018.

McAlester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coweta, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McAlester will challenge Tahlequah at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Buffaloes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Coweta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westville at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
