Basketball Recap: Highland Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Highland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Knight Hawks by a score of 54-45 on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Hawks are ranked 711th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Highland has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Knight, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Highland will head out to face off against Littlerock at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland is facing Littlerock at the right time seeing as Littlerock is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Knight, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Knight Hawks duke it out with the Palmdale Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
