Baseball Recap: Apalachee Comes Up Short

Apalachee and Houston County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Apalachee had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bears, falling 11-0. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Apalachee's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Houston County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

While Apalachee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
