Softball Recap: Citizens Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Southland Academy

Citizens Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Southland Academy Raiders with a sharp 9-1 victory on Saturday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Peighton Harper made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Harper was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Citizens Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Brilynn Waldron, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Cadence Cravey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Citizens Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.
