Baseball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Evans Knights. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Will Colvin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Evans, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

While Lakeside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
