It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Porterville had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Templeton Eagles a 3-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Porterville pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Templeton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Porterville will take on Fresno Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fresno Christian will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Porterville surely won't give up without a fight. Templeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
