Baseball Recap: Galloway Triumphs

Galloway's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Francis Knights 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Scots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tucker Happel was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Mon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for St. Francis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Galloway will challenge rival Walker at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, St. Francis is set to square off against their familiar foe Fellowship Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
