Basketball Recap: Oakdale Takes a Loss

Oakdale suffered their biggest defeat since January 23, 2024 on Thursday. They were beaten by the East Union Lancers 56-26. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 47-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

East Union found their leader in freshman Haven Stone, who posted 18 points. Stone is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Ava Barrera was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Oakdale is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9. As for East Union, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Oakdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-38 loss against Manteca on the 4th. As for East Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 45-41 defeat against Mountain House on the 4th.
