Softball Recap: Konawa Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Konawa's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Latta Panthers on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Konawa now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Latta, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Konawa will challenge Roff at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Roff's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Konawa's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Latta, they will square off against Lindsay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.2, the Leopards 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
