Basketball Recap: Anderson Wins Going Away Against Lassen

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Anderson walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Lassen Grizzlies on Tuesday as they made off with a 70-50 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cubs have posted since January 17th.

Taylor Ford was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 23 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Payten Ford, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Anderson was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Anderson now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Lassen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Anderson has already played their next match, a 43-36 defeat against University Prep on the 20th. Lassen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
