Soccer Recap: Eagle Grove Comes Up Short

Eagle Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Humboldt Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Humboldt this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in April.

Eagle Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-2. As for Humboldt, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2-1.

Coming up, Eagle Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Humboldt, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS on the 5th.
