Basketball Recap: West Allegheny Has No Trouble Against New Castle

On Monday, everything went the West Allegheny Indians's way against the New Castle Hurricanes as the West Allegheny Indians made off with a 67-42 victory. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Allegheny has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for New Castle, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

West Allegheny will head out to square off against Chartiers Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Castle, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Montour at 7:00 p.m.
