Soccer Game Preview: Pike County vs. Morgan County

The Pike County Pirates will challenge the Morgan County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pike County comes in on three and Morgan County on four.

On Tuesday, Pike County needed a bit of extra time to put away Jackson. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Red Devils. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Pike County were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Morgan County got the win against Apalachee on Tuesday by a conclusive 4-1. The result was nothing new for Morgan County, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Morgan County pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three games. As for Pike County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
