Minneola is a perfect 3-0 against Deerfield since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will square off against the Spartans. Minneola has given up an average of 29.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Minneola is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. John just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 56-28 loss at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deerfield). They snuck past Satanta with a 38-34 victory on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Minneola's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Deerfield, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Minneola against Deerfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
