Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Beach Triumphs

While Point Pleasant Beach's win against Red Bank Catholic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Garnet Gulls skirted past the Caseys 11-9.

TOMMY CONROY made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. CONROY was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on DANNY LUBACH, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. DYLAN RYAN was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Point Pleasant Beach's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Red Bank Catholic, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Pleasant Beach will challenge Kennedy Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Red Bank Catholic, they will square off against Brick Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
