Basketball Game Preview: Victory Christian Academy Eagles vs. Calistoga Wildcats

The Victory Christian Academy Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Calistoga Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Victory Christian Academy is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Roseland Collegiate Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Victory Christian Academy blew Roseland Collegiate Prep out of the water with a 58-30 final score. The Eagles pushed the score to 44-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Grizzlies had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Calistoga entered their tilt with Technology on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed past the Titans to the tune of 49-20.

The victory made it two in a row for Victory Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points over those games. As for Calistoga, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Things could have been worse for Victory Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 45-26 loss to Calistoga in their previous matchup back in January. Can Victory Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
