Baseball Recap: Paulding County Comes Up Short

Paulding County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-4 to the Hillgrove Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Friday.

Conner Oliver made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Paulding County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Hillgrove, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Paulding County is set to take on their familiar foe Harrison at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hillgrove will square off against rival Osborne at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
