Soccer Recap: Gilroy Comes Up Short

Gilroy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leland Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by just one goal.

Gilroy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-2. As for Leland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Gilroy will take on Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leland, they will challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pioneer's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Leland's offense will have their work cut out for them.
