Recap: Harbor Creek Huskies vs. Franklin Knights
The Harbor Creek Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Franklin 55-34. The victory was familiar territory for Harbor Creek who now have three in a row.
Despite the loss, Franklin still got an impressive performance from Jennifer Blum, who scored 11 points. The match was Blum's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jamie Blum, who scored four points.
Franklin struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Harbor Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Franklin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
Harbor Creek and McDowell will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. McDowell has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-4 during that stretch of close contests. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Erie at 12:30 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Erie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Thursday.
