Softball Recap: Luella's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of seven wins, Luella's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Oconee County Warriors. The Lions were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the seven games prior), but the Warriors' pitcher proved too tough.

Luella saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Reliford, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Reliford is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Luella's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Oconee County, their win bumped their record up to 8-18.

While Luella had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
