Baseball Recap: Harvard Takes a Loss

Harvard fell victim to Marengo and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 11-0 to the Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 on Monday.

Harvard has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season. As for Marengo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Harvard will face off against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the J-Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Marengo, they will square off against Lake Zurich at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
