Baseball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Takes a Loss

St. Anne-Pacelli suffered their closest loss since February 20th on Friday. They fell just short of the Brookstone Cougars by a score of 6-4. The Vikings have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Connor Zittrauer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. He has become a key player for St. Anne-Pacelli: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

St. Anne-Pacelli's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Brookstone, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, St. Anne-Pacelli will face off against Westfield School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Westfield School has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.6 runs per game on average), something St. Anne-Pacelli will no doubt try to take advantage of.
