Springstead dropped down to 8-6 on Monday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Weeki Wachee Hornets, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since October 17, 2024.

Jayda Swift paced Springstead's offense, picking up six kills. Swift got some help from Mackenna Chambers and her 18 assists. Kiersten Caamano controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for Weeki Wachee, their win bumped their record up to 8-3. They haven't had any issues with Springstead recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weeki Wachee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kendyl Eastin, who had 35 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Eastin has posted over her last seven matches. Taylor Porter was another key player, getting 21 digs.

Coincidentally, Springstead and Weeki Wachee will both be playing Hernando the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Leopards at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
