Softball Recap: Eaglecrest Starts Season with Win at Home

Eaglecrest gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Chaparral Wolverines as they made off with a 17-8 win. The Raptors haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Eaglecrest got a massive performance out of Giana Vialpando Williams, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Vialpando Williams a new career-high. Sydney Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Looking ahead, Eaglecrest is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Legacy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chaparral, they will face off against Chatfield at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
