Volleyball Recap: New Bern Comes Up Short

New Bern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Christ the King Crusaders.

Matthew Harris paced New Bern's offense, picking up three kills. Harris got some help from William Gay and his eight assists.

New Bern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Christ the King, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

New Bern will head out on the road to face off against Gramercy Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christ the King, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Triangle Math & Science on the 12th.
