Baseball Recap: Greenup County Comes Up Short

Greenup County lost to Boyd County back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Musketeers came up short against the Lions, falling 9-2. The Musketeers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greenup County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Holbrook, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Sawyer Hatfield, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Greenup County's loss dropped their record down to 21-17-1. As for Boyd County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-8-1.

As of now, neither Greenup County nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
