Softball Recap: Hillcrest Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Hillcrest had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped up to 5-0 to make it four. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the JW North Huskies. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 11-10 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Hillcrest's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sierra Siracusa, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for JW North, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

On JW North's side, Xochitl Frias was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Safera Rimmele, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-8 defeat against Patriot on the 3rd. As for JW North, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against Serrano on the 5th.
