Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pitman). They blew past the Modesto Panthers 10-2 on Tuesday. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Panthers are ranked 899th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pitman's offense was hitting Modesto from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Karen Perez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Pitman is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those nine games. As for Modesto, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9-2.

Pitman wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Turlock on the 23rd. As for Modesto, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-2 defeat against Downey on the 23rd.
