Basketball Recap: Englewood Comes Up Short

Englewood lost against First Coast back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Englewood Rams received a blow as they fell 54-35 to the First Coast Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 240th).

Englewood has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for First Coast, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Englewood is taking a road trip to take on Stanton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Englewood is facing Stanton at the right time seeing as Stanton is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for First Coast, they will be home for the holidays to greet Fletcher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
