Recap: Marshall Eagles vs. Lancaster Eagles

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Marshall Eagles walked away with it. They blew past the Eagles 58-32. Marshall has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Marshall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Destiny Ihiaso led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Jolynn Abilar was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

The win was the sixth in a row for Marshall, bringing their record for this year to 19-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Marshall will square off against Corona at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Marshall is ranked 374th, while Corona is ranked 378th). Lancaster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
