Soccer Game Preview: Model vs. Putnam County

Model has won four straight games at home, while Putnam County has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Blue Devils will host the War Eagles. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Model is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Woodville-Tompkins. Considering Model have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Putnam County sidestepped Vidalia for a 4-3 win. Putnam County's winning goal came courtesy of Angel Sanchez.

Model has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those nine matches. As for Putnam County, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
