Soccer Recap: Carlsbad Comes Up Short

Carlsbad and Mission Hills squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Carlsbad had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Mission Hills Grizzlies by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lancers couldn't quite close it out.

Carlsbad's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Mission Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Carlsbad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Hills, they will square off against Mt. Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
