Basketball Recap: Dunmore Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Dunmore had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Mid Valley Spartans 67-30. Given the Bucks' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Spartans are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dunmore's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Mid Valley, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-4.

Dunmore will head out on the road to square off against Holy Cross at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mid Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Honesdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
