Football Game Preview: Lebo Wolves vs. Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat

The Lebo Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lebo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Burlingame just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rural Vista [Hope/White City]). They breezed past Centre to the tune of 54-0 on Friday. The Heat's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Lebo better keep an eye on Kole Riedy. He was instrumental in Rural Vista [Hope/White City]'s win, rushing for 243 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Riedy showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Koden Sanford, who rushed for 19 yards and three touchdowns.

Rural Vista [Hope/White City] was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 292 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Rural Vista [Hope/White City] pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.0 points on average this season. As for Lebo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Things could have been worse for Lebo, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-24 loss to Rural Vista [Hope/White City] in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
