Soccer Recap: Davis County Comes Up Short

Davis County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ames Little Cyclones, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Davis County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Ames are ranked first).

Davis County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Ames, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis County will take on Pella at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ames, they will face off against Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ames will need to watch out since Roosevelt have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
