Baseball Recap: Brandywine Comes Up Short

Brandywine came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-5 to the MOT Charter Mustangs.

Callen Steinour was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Brandywine: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Manny Martinez-Guzman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Brandywine has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for MOT Charter, their record is now 7-9.

Coming up, Brandywine will head out on the road to square off against Christiana at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
